HAVE A LIGHT BULB …

If suddenly "the electricity runs out" - a regular probe will help out. But not everyone …

The appearance of the latest computer games did not lead to the death of classical chess or, say, a flip-up fool - it does not interfere with one another. So modern multimeters, oscilloscopes and diagnostic testers have not replaced the simplest car probes in the form of a probe with a bulb - to each his own. A cheap small-sized instrument is always at hand, it is practically impossible to “burn” it, and batteries are not needed. Of course, they can’t check the microprocessor, but to quickly assess whether there is a supply voltage at different points is easy. And this is most often necessary - to know where the contact has oxidized or the fuse has blown. So that the trouble would not be taken by surprise, we will buy this wick in advance - there are a lot of such small things in stores.

The commonality of the genetic roots of the four acquired products is beyond doubt - there is a similarity. Product No. 1 was sold “naked” (photo 1), No. 2 and 3 in blister packs (photo 2 and 3), and No. 4 as part of a kit (photo 4).

From the probe, you do not need much - the bulb would be working. Therefore, the lack of packaging for product No. 1 did not raise suspicion - now we’ll take a wire, plug a single-pole plug into the handle and try to measure something. We cling to the "crocodile" on one terminal of the power source and bring the probe to the other - hurray, it burns! Please wrap it up - now, just pull the wire out of the handle … It wasn’t there (photo 5) - with the plug a half spring came out, pressing on the light bulb.

Well, okay, but the wire will not be lost … And the probe is good, sharp. Now we measure the voltage at some "stale" terminal, for example, on the generator. Oh, they broke it (photo 6) …

Testing of product No. 2 began with a careful strength test - no, everything is in order. With contacts, things are worse - the plug dangles defiantly in the handle, causing the effect of "it goes out, then goes out." The same symptoms appeared in products No. 3 and 4.

However, all this is nonsense - we will press the plug, we will light the lamp. By the way, the inscriptions on the handles of the probes (6V-12V-24V) indicate that with such probes you can safely travel around the electric equipment of KrAZ and KamAZ. We will rejoice for the drivers of heavy vehicles, but to clear our conscience, we will try to apply 24 volts to the test probes …

Burn well! No, not light bulbs - plastic cases floated like popsicle in the sun … Within a couple of minutes, the temperature of the handles reached 150 ° C, turning them into what is shown in photo 7.
