Sadly, the fact is that the owners of the new VAZ models have become hostages to the self-acting SAUO and SAUKU (factory abbreviation for “automatic heater control system” or “air conditioning system”). Moreover, the temperature difference along the height of the cabin should not exceed 3 ° C, and the absolute values ​​should remain within the limits indicated above. All this should happen no later than 30 minutes after the start of movement of a car with a warm engine.

Such a friendly climate, in principle, should be in the cabin of your "top ten." Hard to believe? Wait, we’ll measure it now, but first we’ll spend some more time and find out the opinion of the VAZ employees. Perhaps we all do not understand something because of the simplicity of our souls, turning the handles of heaters? And for sure, here’s an almost verbatim quote from the head of the Design Bureau for Microclimate Research of the Automobile Directorate for Technical Development of AvtoVAZ JSC. “Many owners of VAZ 2110 cars, having bought a more advanced car, do not know how to use the heater correctly. Regarding the speed of air flow, the readings are as follows: at higher fan speeds, both cars draft in a number of points, 2-3 times higher than permissible.

In the “All at legs” mode, which is turned on when the car is moving, and the temperature setter is at 22 ° C in front of the cabins, the situation is more or less acceptable. Only the right and left lower limbs are heated unevenly, depending on the characteristics of a particular machine. With the hottest position of the setter, cars more than exceed the norms. Ahead is Africa, but this is the only way to bring warmth to the feet of the rear passengers. That's where the “dozen” have the most significant flaw. Here the temperature is lower than in other places, the air speed is 2-4 times (!) Less than in front, and tends to zero. Moreover, our figures only reflect the trend. On the move in frosty weather, the disadvantage is exacerbated. Moreover, the VAZ 2111 is colder than the sedan. In addition, he has rear side windows with an amazing tendency to freeze. Judge for yourself - the ceiling has 26 degrees of heat, and in the area of ​​the rear windows 20 ° and complete stagnation of air, regardless of fan speed.

By the way, did you pay attention to the control points 7a and 14a? They differ from 7 and 14 in that the measurements were carried out without rubber mats that protect the fleece upholstery from moisture. The caring owner, who has laid a rug with a rubber shoulder under the feet of the rear passengers, completely plugs the consumptive nozzles for supplying warm air located under the front seats. Last resort advice. If passengers freeze, remove the carpets - the back will become a little warmer. But here's a shame - the focus was successful only in the wagon. The latter, although blowing in the legs of the rear passengers, is weaker, but in some completely magical way it warms up the interior more evenly and warmer. Most importantly, this confirms the operating experience. We emphasize - the advantage is true only in comparison with the wagon. But in general - all the sores with her. It’s hot here, it’s cold there, side windows fog up and freeze, it penetrates through the cracks, it’s warmer at the ceiling than at the floor, etc.

One of the most unreliable parts is a recirculation valve. Another present is a resistor in charge of fan speeds. It, and at the same time a rotten wiring connector, has to be changed almost every year. To get to this penny detail, you need to disassemble the half-machine.
