What is guided by a resident of Russia, choosing a car? Firstly, the thickness of the wallet is not too thick, in the vast majority of cases (everyone knows that the Mercedes is good, but there are no queues for it yet). Secondly, it relies on its own experience and needs. Thirdly, he listens to numerous advisers. And finally, for reasons of "prestige" - so no worse than that of a neighbor!

If the first two points are not in doubt, then it is worth listening to the tips carefully (the advisers are different), but prestige … Let's leave the discussion on this topic to the owners of cars, whose cost is much higher. In the meantime, let’s try to evaluate the future purchase not with my heart, but with the mind.

Let us leave domestic cars alone - for their long life a lot has been said about them. Let us turn to inexpensive foreign cars, to which, it would seem, one step from domestic "top models" … Is it worth it to do it? Let's start with Nexia - it was she who, in recent years, was the No. 1 guest on Russian roads.

A little bit of history to begin with. In 1984, the Opel Cadet E appeared, the same age as our Samara. In the early nineties, "Cadet" was replaced by "Astra", but the old man did not die, but emigrated to Korea, where he continued to graduate under the name "Daewoo Racer." After some time, "grandfather" underwent plastic surgery, having changed his gender and name - "Nexia" appeared. Korean cars managed to make themselves known in our market, but a change of citizenship helped them turn around in full. After the notorious collapse of the ruble, the Nexia from Uzbekistan turned out to be the cheapest full-size foreign car in Russia.

HOW MUCH IS?

Today, Nexia, depending on the configuration, costs from 5600 to 7000 dollars. The gap from the domestic classmate VAZ 2110 2 is small, for the last asking 4, 500-5, 800 conventional units. VAZ 2109 9 / "> VAZ 21099 even cheaper - 3700–4500 cu. The base“ Nexia ”in the GL configuration is almost as bare as its native“ nines-ten ”: a radio with four speakers, an electric headlight corrector and the possibility opening the trunk and the gas tank hatch from the passenger compartment is all the joys of life, but the GLE version adds power windows, a central locking system, fog lights and something that is not found on any VAZ yet - power steering and air conditioning.

Buy - half the battle. Then you have to sell. The price for the Uzbek-Korean product is falling faster than for Russian cars. Can you add a round sum to a new car in a few years? Although, if finances become tight, having sold Nexia three-year-old, you can buy a new Samara …

FOR HIGHWAY

For long trips - a good option. The driving performance is not inferior to domestic technology, comfort is not comparable with the “rattle” “Samara”, and a more convenient “ten” is unlikely to surpass the “Nexia” in this parameter. Of course, in the case of repairs far from the centers of civilization, a domestic car will benefit. But relative to other "foreigners", the Daewoo service network in Russia is quite wide.

FOR CITY

One of the options for using any car is to take yourself, your beloved, to work, on business, almost always without passengers and mainly around the city. Here, the rather cumbersome Nexia is unlikely to be the best choice. He will not stick his long muzzle into any hole, carry air in a large cabin and a huge trunk. Yes, and in the case of "tin", often in the urban crush, will fly a pretty penny. If you really want "imported and air-conditioned" - it is better to look for something less (but probably more expensive). From a practical point of view, I recommend looking at Samara. The same “eight” is cheaper, more compact, quicker, “bodywork” is inexpensive for it, there is no great need for the rear doors and yet it is a “big” car.

FOR COTTAGE

The national Russian method of using the car is regular transportation of families, belongings, crops, and others to the hacienda and back. Here Nexia has clearly more pluses than minuses. Enough spacious interior, large trunk, quite acceptable ground clearance. Perhaps, only large overhangs limit its country-country use. Its most dangerous competitor in this nomination is the "ten", especially the "eleventh" station wagon. The latter, however, is comparable to Nexia in price.

“NEXIA„ - TRUCK

More precisely - a utility vehicle. That doesn't sound too convincing. The trunk is large, but its transformation is not provided - you can not carry a long load. Overloading the machine is fraught with expensive repairs. The springs will take and break - this "Nexia" sins. There was no universal wagon (and what kind of “shed” was the one of the progenitor “Cadet!”). It’s better to torment something domestic - a capacious “eleventh” for example. Cheaper cost. You can, of course, purchase a domestic or “bourgeois” van, but that's another topic.

NEXIA BROKEN …

As already mentioned, there are many places where it can be repaired. Consumable parts (filters, pads) are not deficient and not too expensive. But if suddenly there was a serious breakdown or (pah-pah-pah) accident - prepare your wallet. Here is a foreign car, and not the cheapest one to repair. First of all, you will have to spend money on spare parts - the prices for repairs from official servicemen are moderate. You will have to visit the service very often! The frequency of service is once every 10, 000 km, but under severe conditions the oil needs to be changed twice as often. Here, domestic equipment that does not know any other conditions, except for difficult ones, is more unpretentious. And the guarantee for front-wheel drive VAZs is more interesting: the same year as the Nexia, but without a mileage limit against its 20, 000 km. True, the fulfillment of warranty is another matter …

Family car! If you need a car for almost all occasions (at work, for shopping, on vacation, at the cottage) and you are ready to pay a little more for it than for the same "top ten", you can try it. In principle, cars are very close in their capabilities. "Nexia" is richer equipped, more carefully assembled, but costs more. VAZ 2110 with lower quality, better equipment, but cheaper. Both cars are yesterday's (or rather, yesterday's) word in technology. By the way, “Nexia” has a direct analogue - low-series VAZ 2115. The difference between them is that Nexia has not been produced in Korea for a long time, is living out its life in Uzbekistan, and the “fifteenth” is getting ready to get on the conveyor.
