Nissan, apparently, decided to get ahead of all competitors in terms of environmental cleanliness of its models. Recently, the company introduced the Centra sedan, the modification of which the Centra SA made a splash, since it seriously claims the title of the most “low-toxic” gasoline car. To begin with, its design, unlike other modern models, completely eliminates the ingress of gasoline into the air. As you know, it is these pairs that stand out during movement and during parking, for many people they cause a catarrhal state of the throat, cough, and shortness of breath. But couples are not everything. The SA exhaust itself is about eight times cleaner than the most stringent ULEV toxicity standard currently in force in the US state of California. Moreover, Centra SA meets the SULEV standard, which they plan to introduce only in 2004. Moreover, Nissan guarantees compliance with these standards for 15 years of operation, provided that the mileage of the car does not exceed 150 thousand miles.
This was the result of innovations such as the installation of a double-walled exhaust manifold, three catalytic converters with a quick warm-up system to operating temperature, as well as a special vortex valve that reduces the amount of unheated engine emitted into the atmosphere.
Another feature of the model: it does not leave behind ozone - the main source of smog. The radiator of the machine is coated with a special Premair compound that converts ozone molecules into oxygen. Thanks to this, the air behind the moving “Center SA” is cleaner than in front of the car!
These highly sophisticated systems are monitored every second by electronics, which informs in case of a malfunction about the need to contact a service station.
It remains only to add that everything that was discussed did not affect the driving performance of the “Center SA” in any way. Equipped with a 1.8-liter engine that develops 127 liters. with., the car is worthy of competition to most classmates.
